For this project, I was to find a photographer to emulate almost exactly. I chose one of my favorite artists and all-around interesting and intelligent man, Hiroshi Sugmito. I chose to replicate his "Portraits" series of wax sculptures at Madame Tussaud's, his "Architecture" series, and one of his long-exposure movie theatres.
Doing this project I not only learned a lot about photography and methodology, I learned a lot about Sugimoto as an artist as well as a scientist. This was a very difficult assignment to contend with, but I feel like I learned a lot of valuable information and new ways of thinking.
