I feel a lot of my identity stems from my family, in conjunction with the environment in which I was raised. While exploring identities found within a Chinese household around the area in which I was raised, I found similarities between two opposing cultures through childhood.

I scanned images from two family albums - one from my family's and another from a family with different traditions, attempting to locate the same family dynamic and relationships. I compiled each of these images into book form. One book, I bound myself with red bookcloth and screwposts with inkjet prints I made, and another book (with the same images) I designed, but was professionally bound and printed. This represented a contemporary vision of the "family album" opposite the handmade object.
