I went back home to Hickory, North Carolina to shoot portraits for this assignment. The few parameters we did have included: taking a self portrait, a portrait of a stranger, a portrait where you cannot identify a person,a portrait of someone as someone else, and a portrait of someone you know very well.
While I don't have all those images on here, I found I really liked shooting residents of Hickory, so the majority of these pictures are from the local race track—which seems like a world all its own. This project eventually served as a basis for another large body of work.
